Akeem surprised Dyneesha by asking for her hand in marriage on December 23rd, 2016. The evening was a surprise for Dyneesha! Akeem included both families and close friends to witness the milestone in their lives by disgusing the night as "Family Game Night". After their anniversary dinner, Akeem and Dyneesha joined everyone at Akeems mother (Dyneesha's soon to be mother-in-law), Patricia's home where family waited in anticipation. Akeem through excitement and nerves got down on one knee to request Dyneesha's hand in marriage. Dyneesha accepted and was not only in shock but in tears-on their 10th year anniversary Akeem solidified his committment to Dyneesha and they are looking forward to finalizing this committment during the pending ceremony and celebrations.
