We went home for a short trip to Pennsylvania for Christmas 2017. I knew that we had plans to see our good friends Jeff and Rachel the first day we were home. Little did I know Dan had also planned to go ring shopping with Jeff! The boys told Rachel (who knew the plan) and I that they had to go shopping for some groceries. That night we went out for dinner and drinks. Afterwards we came back to Jeff and Rachel's house to spend the night with them and their two children. While at the house Dan asked me to marry him in front of everyone. I was so happy! It was especially nice to have Jeff and Rachel witness this because they have been around since day one of our relationship. The first day Dan and I started dating we went out with Jeff and Rachel for lunch to watch football (Go Eagles!). Since they have been close to Dan and I from the beginning I was thrilled that he decided to include them in on our engagement.
